I was over the moon when I received the Schwarskopf Gliss Intense repair range to test and review from Beauty Bulletin. MAAAAN was it good?
Infused with Keratin and wait for it, OLAPLEX TECHNOLOGIES (yes my fellow hair dye enthusiasts, you read right!), this range promises to repair, strengthen and further reduce damage in the long run from heat and colouring of the hair follicles.
For the readers who do not know, Olaplex is a line of hair repair treatments specifically aimed at hair damaged from bleach and heat. Olaplex is said to repair the hair at a molecular level by reconnecting the broken bonds. It is a treatment that many people vouch by after seeing incredible results, even to the point that their natural curls were restored after just one use!
So now that you know why I was stoked about this product, let's find out if it really lived up to it's expectation shall we?
Normally when I wash my hair with a non-sulfate or paraben free shampoo, I mentally prepare myself for the really dry hard feeling that follows where I would immediately reach for my conditioner just to make my hair feel like hair again! To my surprise this did not happen, I was so taken aback that I kept double checking if I was indeed using shampoo instead of conditioner! It legit made my hair comb-friendly and I just loved the smell.
Next up was Conditioner, and just like the shampoo it made my hair so soft and manageable, I could finger detangle my hair with ease!
Finally the product I was dying to try out, the intensive repair hair mask. This little tub was promising me the ultimate repair in just 10 minutes. I could not wait! After a long 10 minutes of excitement I jumped back into the shower and rinsed it off. To my expectation I could feel my hair was so much stronger than the previous day. This I knew because combing my hair I could feel there was less sensitivity and no breakage due to the combing. I was however a bit annoyed that it took so long for me to wash the treatment out, it left my hair feeling extremely oily, I almost reached for the shampoo again.
Sparkle meter out of 10 (**********)
Shampoo: ********(8) -2 because I wish it was paraben and sulfate free.
Conditioner: ******** (8) the same as above.
Treatment: ******* (7) Why you make my hair so oily man!?
